@TornaxO7 upstream issue, workaround

Also, vial is an opensource alternative, I suggest trying that out

Is that normal? (I just normally run it with via, but sudo via --no-sandbox works).

Worked after installing a polkit agent for my sway/wayland desktop, installed lxpolkit and ran in a separate terminal before launching via.

@kusky You should be fine after setting up a Polkit authentication agent https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Polkit#Authentication_agents

or u can run via as sudo via --no-sandbox

kusky commented on 2021-01-29 02:37 (UTC)

getting: Error: No polkit authentication agent found.

@timescam It might be helpful to add a symlink to the binary to /usr/bin to make it easier to call from the command-line. It appears that you are attempting to add something to /usr/bin since you create it in package(), but that directory appears to still be empty in my package - did this get removed in a refactor or something?

As is, you have to call via using the full path (/opt/VIA/via) on the command-line if you don't want to add /opt/VIA to your $PATH.
