I just installed fresh KDE without Wayland, and with full Pipewire. Viber works out of the box without any modifications.

Doesn't work on KDE + Nvidia + Wayland, QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb viber launches it with black app screen.

Since Viber version 18.02 I can't make voice calls no matter what I try QTWEBENGINE_DISABLE_SANDBOX=1 and QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcp don't work. There is no crash, error, nothing, but the call menu is not displayed when there is a call, and if I make a call, it is not received at all.

@karcher,

I was able to override the kvantum error:

QQmlApplicationEngine failed to load component
qrc:/Resources/QML/MainWindow.qml: module "kvantum" is not installed
[1] 237585 segmentation fault (core dumped) viber

by starting it with QT_STYLE_OVERRIDE="" viber.

Hi,

I'm getting similar error as @dr_pedja. Viber doesn't start after OS reinstallation. I tried with the a fresh ".ViberPC" folder as well as with the argument QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb, but the issue persists. The "kvantum" package is already installed. Any other ideas how to fix it?

Warning: Ignoring WAYLAND_DISPLAY on Gnome. Use QT_QPA_PLATFORM=wayland to run on Wayland anyway.

@kristijanhusak, thanks a lot, had exactly the same issue on Fedora with a secondary phonetic keyboard, your solution fixed it for me.
