Building 0.7.0 currently fails due to
blueprint-compiler
crashing, may need to wait untillibadwaita
is updated to 1.0.0-beta1.yochananmarqos commented on 2020-08-03 18:16 (UTC)
@AkariMarisa: Your log is referencing your Pikaur cache directory. Clear it's cache and do a clean build or use
makepkg

@cool_nerd: I don't have a
/etc/fonts/local.conf
and can't reproduce the error. Perhaps temporarily remove that file and try again.cool_nerd commented on 2020-07-31 20:05 (UTC)
I have this error when I try to run it : Fontconfig error: "/etc/fonts/local.conf", line 1: XML or text declaration not at start of entity thread 'main' panicked at 'TODO: BoolError { message: "Failed to create element from factory name", filename: "/home/moshir/.cache/yay/video-trimmer/src/build/target/cargo-home/registry/src/github.com-1ecc6299db9ec823/gstreamer-0.16.0/src/auto/element_factory.rs", function: "gstreamer::auto::element_factory", line: 184 }', src/window.rs:494:25

Yes I do have ffmpeg, that's what I've been using for ages, this video-trimmer looks more convenient so I thought I'd give it a go.

@JimDeadLock: No, I have an AMD APU. Do you have
ffmpeg
installed? It might need that or perhaps more GST libs.JimDeadlock commented on 2020-07-09 23:45 (UTC)
No errors via CLI, it runs normally and does a trim fine, it's just that the video doesn't show in the pane it's just black. Do you have Nvidia?

@JimDeadlock: Are there any errors running
video-trimmer
from the terminal? It's possible it's missing a dependency. I was able to view and trim a video just fine.There are no menu icons, see the screenshot on the GitLab page.

Does not play the video, just black screen with audio.
