I've now tried it on another install (64bit, fully up to date) and here it works. So it seems to be a problem of the other install. Thanks for your support!

That is strange, because I have built with fpc (2.6.0-2) on 32bit and it worked for me, I am the program runs, not only builds successfully. My overall Arch system is up-to-date too. You may want to retry in my same conditions.

I'm building on a 32bit machine and fpc is 2.6.0, the one from /community. The error happens right after launching the binary, no file loaded at all. But yeah, seems as if it was a bug. Thanks for your assistance though! :)

I have only tried to build it on my notebook, which is 32 bit. It also runs fine, that is the program starts for me. Haven't tried it on a 64 bit system. Make sure you have the latest version of fpc (the Pascal compiler), which is a dependency. Does the error happen to you when you load a specific data file? BTW upstream provides a compile script, I am just using that.

Thanks, it builds fine now! But it crashes on start with following error:
Internal error: something that should not ever happen... happened. This indicates a bug in the program's code (or something related, like a shared library, that should be workarounded from the program then). We definitely want you to report this as a bug! Please send this error-specific info: We are not prepared for this MultiSampling value in ScreenEffectLibrary: 8
I suspect it to be not a packaging problem though...

Updated to latest versions. If now builds fine, at least on i686.
