This package hangs my AUR helper when looking for devel updates for some time now. This is because github now ignores all non-https requests.

So in order to get it working again, you need to change the source() array in the PKGBUILD and change the protocol from git:// to git+https://.

The last commit date of the git repository is 20110509, so it always appears as out of date to yaourt. Would it be a good idea to set the hardcoded PKGBUILD date to this date or eliminate the pkgver() function until a new commit happens?

As this package hardcoded vim's version number, it is broken as of vim release 7.4 ; I picked up vim-colors-solarized-git instead.

Updated PKGBUILD: http://sprunge.us/IiaO Changes: - let makepkg handle the git stuff - use vimfiles directory instead of vim73 - use last commit date as $pkgver
