I no longer use it, I've switched to LTeX ( due to it's support for LaTeX and Markdown, as those are contexts I use languagetool the most. I cannot verify if this is wokring anymore, so if anyone wants to pick it up, feel free.

I think the install script is not needed, since vim-runtime ships with the following alpm-hook :

Operation = Install
Operation = Upgrade
Operation= Remove
Type = Path
Target = usr/share/vim/vimfiles/doc/

Description = Updating Vim help tags...
Exec = /usr/bin/vim -es --cmd ":helptags /usr/share/vim/vimfiles/doc" --cmd ":q"
When = PostTransaction

I've no idea why this is flagged as out-of-date. It looks fine for me. @guniu, you should remove the flag. Cheers.

java 8 is dependency of languagetool, so if you have languagatool you must have java as well.

bwidawsk commented on 2016-11-07 00:39 (UTC)

Shouldn't jre8 be a dep in here somewhere?

I'm not sure how it would be possible to support neovim in the same package, but with a split one it seems possible. I went ahead and modified the PKGBUILD: Here's the additional nvimdoc.install: I hope it helps!
