@mutantmonkey I think you are absolutely correct. Thank you for posting; I've fixed the PKGBUILD.

Am I missing something, or is the python2 dependency unnecessary?

It works fine for me. Is vim detecting the filetype okay? What is the output of

:set ft?

Is it

filetype=vimwiki

?

Hello,
I have no idea what's wrong. But the vimwiki syntax highlighting doesn't work for me. All highlighting is in the same color. Do you have any idea why? Do you have the same issues?

Thank you @JonnyJD. Package has been updated.

Also, this has been out-of-date for 4 months. I'm happy to take over as maintainer if you like.

Okay, time is up. Package updated vimwiki 2.0.1 ;-)

I finally created an update script.
Please test the resulting package from https://github.com/JonnyJD/PKGBUILDs/tree/master/_vimwiki/vim-vimwiki and especially the (patched) vimwiki-convert-links

Please tell me if I am missing something or it converts something to a link that should not be converted.
It won't be able to convert everything, but it certainly shouldn't convert too much.

For if you want to keep using CamelCase, I created:
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vim-vimwiki1/
You can switch back to vimwiki1 safely.
