There is no version dependency on this package on purpose! You could read comments back from 2011 to understand why.

I'm not sure to understand how such a situation is possible... obviously there is a conflict here regarding upgrade timings of deeply interconnected ARCH packages.

For the time being virtualbox6-ext-oracle is available here, but... why would you move to 7 while Arch Linux is still on 6?

@cmonkey Run this one-liner as a normal user: SNAPSHOT=aur-25068a121717;cd /tmp;curl -O https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/snapshot/${SNAPSHOT}.tar.gz;tar xf ${SNAPSHOT}.tar.gz; cd ${SNAPSHOT};makepkg -is PKGBUILD and remember to deselect this package when updating aur packages until virtualbox 7+ is in the repos.

Why was this updated? The "official" virtualbox package hasn't been updated to 7.0 yet. Are you sure it is ok? It displayed some errors after installation.

I would think that running virtualbox 6.1 with the 7.0 extension pack would be a bad idea. Not sure why it was updated here when virtualbox hasn't been updated. Just stick with the version that matches your virtualbox installation.
