Changing the icu50 dependency to the actively maintained libicu50 fixes the icu50 problem.

@hoorayphyer: Thanks for the feedback. Could you try to: * rebuild libpng15, * run 'gdb visit', * try with this source: 'http://portal.nersc.gov/project/visit/releases/2.12.0/visit2_12_0.linux-x86_64-rhel7.tar.gz', and give me the results?

I get the same error as @killozap. I did some downgrading experiments and found that all versions > 2.10.2 gave me the crash problem. The notable changes in PKGBUILD from 2.10.2 to 2.10.3 are the libpng15 instead of libpng12 and rhel7 instead of rhel 6. I don't know if this information helps.

@kilozap & @MisterEwok : could you provide me more information (for instance send me a smal file which make visit crash or some debug information with gdb or some special configurations or logs of 'visit -debug 5')? Besides, could you try with another linux binary from [a]? [a] https://wci.llnl.gov/simulation/computer-codes/visit/executables

I get the same error as @MisterEwok, visit crashes when drawing a plot: Exception: (LostConnectionException) /scratch/brugger1/kickit/visitbuild/visit2.12.0/src/common/comm/SocketConnection.C, line 484: <The reason for the exception was not described>

@MisterEwok: I tested with various versions from the AUR but none seems to suppress the message. However, I'm able to make some plots maybe you should try one of the other visit packages https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/visit and https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/visit-build

@eolianoe: If it's built with an older version of libicu, that should be made a dependency, right? Several versions live in AUR. Also, it actually crashes on me when I press Draw after creating a plot.

@MisterEwok: I also get this error, but as it runs smoothly it's not a big deal. I think it's linked to the fact that the binary is compiled against another version of libicu.
