I solved it by downgrading Ncurses from "6.0+20170902-2" to "6.0+20170902-1".

Works for me. Please read this if you haven't: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arch_User_Repository

I propose this update to flu's PKGBUILD: http://96.126.108.7:90/vitetris-0.57-2.src.tar.gz
* The .desktop file is patched to use the correct binary name (previously it was pointed to "tetris" and wouldn't get evaluated).
* The /var/games/vitetris directory and hiscores file contained inside are created by /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d/vitetris.conf as per current standards
* It uses sha512sums rather than md5sums
* All other issues in the PKGBUILD were fixed to comply with namcap (which no longer complains)
I'll leave this source package up until it's pulled in or rejected- Cheers!

If you're not interested in continuing to maintain this package, I have an updated PKGBUILD ready to upload.
All the best,

Hey there, any change that you'll update the PKGBUILD to be in line with modern standards? This builds fine for now, but the syntax is incredibly out-of-date and with pacman 4.2, it will fail to build without being updated.
All the best,
Hund, looks like the reason it works for me is since I'm on [testing]:
