Looks like update.patch is not needed anymore.

cb7: Thanks, but I'm not able to maintain this package right now, so if you want, you can adopt it ;-)

I modified the PKGBUILD to pull from the dev's github: http://pastebin.com/6whxqPCz
It builds and installs properly now.

There's a bug where vitunes fails to start every time due to an empty playlist folder. A quick solution is to touch an empty foo.playlist inside the folder.

Thanks to unexist and his patch, I updated vitunes' PKGBUILD to build successfully.

Hello unexist,
Thanks for information, I will try to (with your permission of course ;-)) add this diff to PKGBUILD and to update it as soon as possible.

I will try to write PKGBUILD for new version this week (as you could already see, I adopted package and plan to work on it).

Hi dumblob... I've received more-than-a-few emails from other Arch users, and would also like this pkg/port updated (for the sole reason of minimizing my emails).
The current version of vitunes in the repo's builds on debian, gentoo, and unbunto. Dunno about Arch. I know very little about Linux distro's.
With that, it should be easy to get a recent vitunes port for Arch... the only requirement is some version of mplayer built since December 27 2009.
G'luck. I'm posting this with the hopes of reducing my emails. It's bad.
