IF/WHEN the package goes out of date. Just download this repo and run ./update_pkg.sh and then build the package manually with makepkg. That should work until the version is updated on the AUR.

If anyone wants to help with the maintenance of the package (its basically executing a script, doing a sanity check, and then push to git), feel free to send me a mail. I've already added two people as co-maintainers. Lets see if that helps.

Okay, I will make those changes whenever I can. But, I don't think there's a good possibility of the packages being incompatible simply because vivaldi is built from chromium sources and this uses an official chromium package.

Thanks for providing this package. I feel I should mention, while using --force in this instance is probably ok, in general it is not recommended and conflicting files should be dealt with on a case-by-case basis. In most cases, you can simply move or rename the conflicting file: sudo mv /opt/vivaldi/lib/libffmpeg.so /opt/vivaldi/lib/libffmpeg.so.orig This keeps the original file should you require it later (for instance, if vivaldi receives an update making it incompatible with the version of libffmpeg provided by this package)

UPDATE: You shouldn't need --force any more. the conflict is resolved post-install by backing up the original libffmpeg.so (suggested by @lectrode) ----------IGNORE------------ If pacman complains about conflicting files just use the --force flag. > pacaur -S --force vivaldi-codecs-ffmpeg-extra-bin
