I was having a problem on ./configure --prefix=/tmp/vlc step. It was crashing with error 

./configure: line 4319: syntax error near unexpected token `VLC_PLUGIN,'
./configure: line 4319: `PKG_CHECK_MODULES(VLC_PLUGIN, vlc-plugin >= 3.0.0)'

It can be resolved by installing a pkg-config package and running autoreconf -i again

Works for me, try another magnet (i.e. [1], CC-BY) or connecting to another network, and if doesn't work you should report it upstream.

VLC is unable to open the MRL 'magnet:?xt=[...]'. Check the log for details.

autoconf-archive dependency is missing

Thank you for noticing! I've added boost to the makedepends array, as the boost-libs runtime is already a dependency of libtorrent-rasterbar.
