This package has been marked as out-of-date since 2013-12-12. Today is 2014-05-07. Feel free to disown this package if you're too busy to update it. I'll adopt it and keep it maintained.

It supports video-dvd, vlc-mini not.
And it doesn't support fribidi, firewire, lirc, flac, VCD, v4l, blueray, httpd, but vlc-mini yes :)
So vlc-mini has about 20Mb plus dependency and I don't use these so for me it's unnecessary and _only_ vlc(-mini) requires libs above.
It's only a personal need-list so maybe you'll need something plus.

Without going through all the disable and enable options, can you give a brief summary of the difference between this package and vlc-mini?
