Updated to use xmlstarlet instead of qizxopen.

hi stativ, agreed. thank you, disowned

@jose1711: Well, I suppose I can try to change the package to use xmlstarlet. If I succeed I will add myself as a co-maintainer, if that's OK with you.

@stativ: are you interested in taking over maintenance? i can see you maintain quite a big amount of pkgbuilds already but i guess you're more invested in this particular pkgbuild than i am

@jose1711: sorry for a really late reply, I didn't have comment notifications for this package… Yes, the patch is fragile, but OTOH any update of xkeyboard-config breaks it anyway. I think it could be done using xmlstarlet, and when pacman supports hooks (there are patches out there) it may be possible to automate the evdev.xml update.

@stativ: thank you for your comments. to be honest... i still don't know. sure since qizxopen we need a way how to update evdev.xml but isn't patch with its detection a bit fragile? thinking about replacing qizxopen with xmllint - do you see this as an alternative?

stativ commented on 2015-02-22 17:14 (UTC)

Here is my take on removing qizxopen: I used patch to add/remove the required layout entry in evdev.xml.
