@Paragoumba: please fix the PKGBUILD instead of pinning the comment... It seems that @gilbus patch works fine

@Paragoumba: Please add qt6-svg to fix the missing icons.

seija commented on 2024-01-12 22:35 (UTC)

Installing extra/qt6-svg using pacman resolved the issue for me without having to make any other changes

@gattino: No need to downgrade, you can just install qt5-tools from the repos. To add the PATH you need to add it the the PKGBUILD provided by this AUR package. It depends on which aur client you use. If using paru, you can change it at the review step. Check the following for more info https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_User_Repository#Installing_and_upgrading_packages

In the meantime, thanks for your reply.!
Sorry but I'm a stupid novice ... how can I apply @gilbus Path? I see a code but I don't know how to use it ...
Alternatively: is it enough to downgrade to qt5-tools?

Paragoumba commented on 2024-01-12 21:42 (UTC) (edited on 2024-01-12 21:44 (UTC) by Paragoumba)

@gattino: On my system I have qt5-tools which provides lrelease in the PATH. You can also look at the comment from @gilbus (I have pinned it), to make the PKGBUILD use the one from qt6-tools.

I will probably push this change to the aur when I have time to properly test it

@m3nu: Can I just remove the make line from the PKGBUILD?

You don't need to use the Makefile. It's mainly for updating translations and doing releases.

Regarding your error, you don't have some Qt tools installed. Like the ones related to doing translations. Hence the "lrelease command not found" error.
