Thanks droidbot1711 for updating wavebox! Ran updates last night and it worked perfectly.

Hey guys. Noticed this package was orphaned and took a crack at updating it to the latest version. It works for me locally, but this is the first time I pushed an AUR update, let me know if you hit any issues. If anyone more experienced wants to re-take ownership of this, I'm happy to release the package.

I have updated my local PKGBUILD to ver 10.0.179, but it's strange as the doownload link i now https://download.wavebox.app/stable in stead of https://download.wavebox.app/core previously.

That's means we must check the downlod link on the page indicated by wavebox support : https://download.wavebox.app/stable/linux/latest.json

But it is more complicated.

@qubozik That's strange, makepkg works fine for me... did you try to build it from a clean directory? The idea of wvbx_rel variable is to take in consideration the evolution of the package name on wavebox site. It seems that between each realease they add some small modification and the TAR archive change with a minor indice.

@lesebas, Thank you very much. I tried to incorporate your changes, but had issues with the wvbx_rel variable you had added. I tried to implement the same in the SRCINFO but that would not work. I didn't have time to look into it more, so I reverted and just updated the package the way I had before. During the next update, I will incorporate your changes. Thank you!

Hi the version 10.0.158 is out.

Here is my proposed PKGBUILD with some corrections with the file path:

Hi,

Here is the proposed pkgbuild updated to 10.0.148.

https://pastebin.com/27zUr1wr

I've used the link to download the .tar file from the official wavebox download page :

https://wavebox.io/download/

Some modifications are proposed with variables to help to update the package (rather putting the download link in the code in raw format).

Thanks @qubozik! Just ran an update and it went smoothly.

I heard back on the ticket and they do provide direct links.

You can find the latest stable links here:

https://download.wavebox.app/stable/linux/latest.json

The latest beta links here:

https://download.wavebox.app/beta/linux/latest.json

Perhaps, updating this AUR package can be automated in the future. For now, I have updated the package with the current stable package direct download.

Let me know if you have any issues.
