For a few days I haven't been able to upgrade this package because the installation process turns my filesystem readonly before it install. I use btrfs.

As there is a new release every week, I think it would be better to have automated release job for this aur package.

Lately I get this message when updating my system with yay:

waydroid-image-gapps: local (20_20250503-1) is newer than AUR (20.0_20250607-1)

And the package does not get upgraded anymore.

Having issues when downloading the image.

curl: (33) HTTP server doesn't seem to support byte ranges. Cannot resume.

Cleaning cache (in my case using paru) with paru -Scc did the trick but you have to download the file without interruptions or it will keep failing again.

Make waydroid an optional dependency "optdepends" instead of "depends", waydroid is not required to build this package and when trying to build it via makechrootpkg it currently requires to first install waydroid within the chroot. Also as it only provides the image files it doesn't require waydroid itself anyway.

I have committed a new version with latest images now

New images have been released and can be downloaded from sourceforge.
