I had to make a symlink from wlroots.pc /lib/wlroots0.17/pkgconfig/wlroots.pc to /lib/pkgconfig to resolve the build error.

# ln -s /lib/wlroots0.17/pkgconfig/wlroots.pc /lib/pkgconfig

After doing that, it built and installed/functions just fine! :)

I had the same issue. I used yay as my AUR helper, but also tried the manual way use makepkg and still had the same build issue. https://pastebin.com/R9mExk87

@Techman35 Which AUR helper are you using? Seems as if it isn't installing wayfire before trying to build this plugin... Maybe it only pre-installs the makedepends list and skips the depends for installation along the package been produced (in which case I would say maybe that is wrong, unless I have to explicitly add wayfire to makedepends too)... Try to install wlroots and wayfire first.
