Thank you for pointing this out. Now the source directory should contain, again, the right files. It's nice to see someone at least actually *trying* to use the software.

found a easy fix. open /usr/bin/wbarconf and change 1st line to this
#!/usr/bin/env python2

just adding 2 after python word

killajoe: Do you happen to be using yaourt? It seems that yaourt somehow tries to fetch the build instruction package from wrong location. Aurbuild or manual way works fine.
