hey im on archcraft and it seems that Qt6Quick is missing... i have all the dependencies as per the pkgbuild. if it helps im on openbox and have mesa/opengl installed (qt forums solution)

-- Could NOT find Qt6Quick (missing: Qt6Quick_DIR)
CMake Error at libAvKys/Lib/CMakeLists.txt:36 (find_package):
  Found package configuration file:

    /usr/lib/cmake/Qt6/Qt6Config.cmake

  but it set Qt6_FOUND to FALSE so package "Qt6" is considered to be NOT
  FOUND.  Reason given by package:

  Failed to find required Qt component "Quick".

  Expected Config file at "/usr/lib/cmake/Qt6Quick/Qt6QuickConfig.cmake" does
  NOT exist

  Configuring with --debug-find-pkg=Qt6Quick might reveal details why the
  package was not found.

  Configuring with -DQT_DEBUG_FIND_PACKAGE=ON will print the values of some
  of the path variables that find_package uses to try and find the package.

-- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
    Aborting...

@hipersayan_x I did, but in all fairness, I'm also on Artix, which does have some quirks, but lrelease is part of qt5-tools, and it looks as if Artix and Arch don't have any weird version mismatches at the moment. The file isn't actually incomplete, I did check that. That being said... I'll try manually replacing it anyway and see what happens. Thanks!

@frankspace I've tested minutes before release, and many months before and never got any error like that, the issue doesn't seems reproducible. Did you tried running pacman -Syu before installing webcamoid-git?
Also Premature end of document. sounds like the file wasn't completely downloaded, maybe a network error?

frankspace commented on 2023-06-11 22:42 (UTC)

Compilation is inexplicably failing with the following error:

lrelease error: Parse error at /build/webcamoid-git/src/webcamoid/StandAlone/share/ts/vi.ts:417:8: Premature end of document.

Nothing about the file seems obviously wrong to me. Is this something I should report upstream, or is this something that's probably wrong with my box? I get the same result whether or not I (try to) compile in a clean chroot.

Please change the optional dependency in akvkam-dkms-git to akvkam-dkms.

Thanks for maintaining!

@aggraef fixed, thanks!

@hipersayan_x, could the pkgver in the PKGBUILD please be fixed, so that it generates the proper version number? At present I'm always getting something like, e.g., webcamoid-git-daily.build.r77.gea5b84b3-1 instead of webcamoid-git-8.7.1.r587.gea5b84b3-1, which causes the package to always be flagged out of date by pamac. This can be fixed by adding a --match option to the git --describe which excludes the unwanted daily.build tag, e.g., like so:

git describe --long --tags --match '[0-9.]*'

Fixed.

I think this package should conflict with webcamoid and vice versa. Otherwise the installation fails due to existing files.
