Please check if this still depends on GConf.

This comment on the GConf package page suggests that the dependency could be unneeded: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gconf/#pinned-723510

This is an upstream issue. I opened a PR (https://github.com/webtorrent/webtorrent-desktop/pull/1702). You can fix it yourself by editing ~/.config/WebTorrent/config.json and setting externalPlayerPath to "", or you can switch to https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/webtorrent-desktop/, which includes a patch.

In the new version of Webtorrent this problem is solved. v0.21 hasn't been released yet.

Can teh bellow solutions be somehow added to the package itself?

Boskote, thank you very much was in the end. I blacklisted the pango update.

pango-1:1.43.0-1-x86_64: http://archive.virtapi.org/packages/p/pango/pango-1%3A1.43.0-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

Boskote commented on 2019-08-29 05:45 (UTC)

Downgrading pango to version 1.43 is a workaround for the error with segfault at launch. Version 1.44 ended support for bitmap fonts as part of the transition to the HarfBuzz font loader, more info here: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Fonts#Bitmap

I get this error:

[tio@tio-pc ~]$ webtorrent-desktop
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

He was working 10 days ago, is not working now :(

Is there any possibility of correction? There is no alternative to this application.
