Maybe the script could be modified to call
nproc
in order to set the job count?Singularity commented on 2020-09-07 00:49 (UTC)
It should work on pretty much any architecture. But it does not have 'any' specific as architecture, because the built binary will be architecture-specific. I added aarch64, but does it help? I heard other distros ignore the architecture value.
If you have more than 4 cores, you can edit the pkgbuild for using more jobs with scons. And yes, it takes quite some time …
Btw, when a new boost versions is pushed to the repos this will need to be rebuild.

This compiles and runs fine on
aarch64
, so that could be added as an arch. But holy hell does it ever take a while to build.

The version of wesnoth which is packaged in Debian 9 and Ubuntu 18.04, offered here mostly for the purpose of watching old replays found in the tactic guides. You can skip installing the checkdependencies by running makepkg --nocheck.
