I've updated it to 2.8.1, using the Ubuntu version per the author's instructions (re: OpenSSL 1.1 v 1.0), however it is to no avail.

Whatpulse 2.8.1 should be pushed this week. http://static.whatpulse.org/forums/showthread.php?tid=7783&pid=43957#pid43957

Version 2.7.1 is *NOT* outdated. Version 2.8 is not available for Linux yet. http://static.whatpulse.org/forums/showthread.php?tid=7783&pid=43752#pid43752 Please check whether or not a new version is cross-platform before flagging.

Package not working Aes functions not available You can fix it by dragging and droping the USR folder from openssl 1.0.1-j into your filesystem (warning dangrous and stupid and is a TEMPORARY fix that can put your computer at risk by re introducing vulnerabilities But it is a stop gap measure to get the app working again If you do this and your computer is compermised because of an openssl vuln dont say i didnt warn you!

Is there anything I can do to help with getting this package working again?

is this up to the whatpulse guys to fix?

Sadly not, @askl56. All the libraries are there in regards to ldd, so I'm wondering what it could be. Did any functionality go away from libssl.1.0.0?

@ekkelett, any joy?

I'll check closer this weekend, but I'm guessing it's trying to use the older OpenSSL version.
