just change the source to https://github.com/gsantner/whatsie/releases/download/v2.1.0/whatsie-2.1.0-linux-amd64.deb

You know that whatsie is just a single purpose browser around the web app with notifications and a few other nifty features, right?

The webversion is a very good replacement for the app:
https://web.whatsapp.com/

It seems that whatsie has been abandoned (https://github.com/Aluxian/Whatsie/issues/494).

I hope you will be able to keep this version working as long as possible though, because Whatsapp does not give any alternative on Linux.

I've noticed this package needs libxss to run. Would you mind adding it to its dependencies? Thank you :)

A little change to source and md5, everything else will work out of the box.

I didn't know how to configure it for i686. What do I need to change to my files?

NoMore66201 commented on 2016-08-24 09:29

Why no i686 release? I'm trying it and it works fine, just by adding i686 .deb and md5 to this PKGBUILD

Since only the directories need to be fixed, appending this line will do:
find $pkgdir -type d -exec chmod 755 {} \;
