@hans I have whatsie installed but no qt5-doc:

$ pacman -Qs whatsie
local/whatsie 4.15.5-1
    Fast Light weight WhatsApp Client based on Qt's WebEngine, With lots of settings and packed goodies
$ pacman -Qs qt5-doc
$

Also according to pacman -Qi whatsie there's no (direct) dependence of whatsie on qt5-doc.

This also installed qt5-doc, almost 500MB documentation. Is qt5-doc really mandatory for whatsie to run?

As reported upstream this issue is fixed by version 4.14.2.

I tried to recompile as well after the upgrade of Qt6 packages but it didn't help; in fact WhatSie uses Qt5:

$ ldd /usr/bin/whatsie
        linux-vdso.so.1 (0x00007ffc50b8d000)
        libX11.so.6 => /usr/lib/libX11.so.6 (0x00007fbc1ac41000)
        libQt5WebEngineWidgets.so.5 => /usr/lib/libQt5WebEngineWidgets.so.5 (0x00007fbc1abf8000)
        libQt5WebEngineCore.so.5 => /usr/lib/libQt5WebEngineCore.so.5 (0x00007fbc13000000)
        libQt5Widgets.so.5 => /usr/lib/libQt5Widgets.so.5 (0x00007fbc12800000)
        libQt5Gui.so.5 => /usr/lib/libQt5Gui.so.5 (0x00007fbc12000000)
. . .

I opened a bug report upstream:

https://github.com/keshavbhatt/whatsie/issues/151

I agree with snack, same problem, I even recompiled thinking that the new qt6 packages had something to do with it, but nothing, blank and it does show the notifications and also the sounds when messages arrive in addition to marking unread messages.

Since this morning WhatSie window does not display anything. I can log out and log-in with the QR code but then just a blank window is shown (even if the application is somehow working since the number of unread messages is correctly displayed in in the tray icon). Yesterday I didn't have this issue, I reverted my system to yesterday's state using the ArchLinux Archive but this didn't help. I cleared the persistent data from the Settings folder, again with no success. Can anybody please help with this?

Any reason now it just keeps logging out, and one has to keep linking way too frequently with the phone? Thanks !
