@dr460nf1r3,

  1. Rsnc'ed whoogle-git
  2. resetted PKGBUILD (just in case)
  3. compiled with fscri
  4. got whoogle-git-0.6.0_r399.g79fb753-1-x86_64_v3.pkg.tar

when installing same error "chown: cannot access '/opt/whoogle-search/app/static/config': No such file or directory"

p.s. downloaded whoogle git from chaotic-aur and got same error ^_^ what kind of dependency might be missing?

only error that bothered me in installation is

Using legacy 'setup.py install' for cffi, since package 'wheel' is not installed.

Using legacy 'setup.py install' for pycparser, since package 'wheel' is not installed.

Using legacy 'setup.py install' for stem, since package 'wheel' is not installed

@frankyboy this looks like a dependency is missing. I'm on r399 and don't face this issue. Could you try updating and tell if the issue persists?

@dr460nf1r3, error is for Version: 0.6.0_r398.gee6a27e-1

/opt/whoogle-search/venv/bin/python3 -um app --host 0.0.0.0 --port 5000

/opt/whoogle-search/venv/bin/python3: No module named app

so, i purged with Rscn whoogle, compiled and installed new version and got at the end of installation message

(1/1) installing whoogle-git [#######] 100%

chown: cannot access '/opt/whoogle-search/app/static/config': No such file or directory

after manually creating such folder and chowning it to whoogle, i was able to use whoogle. but then i've encountered error like

[Errno 13] Permission denied: '/opt/whoogle-search/app/static/config/session'

Are there error messages when looking at the service via systemctl status whoogle ?

Firefox can’t establish a connection to the server at 127.0.0.1:5000. After the latest update.

Installation fails with

rm: cannot remove '.travis.yml': No such file or directory
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in build().
    Aborting...
error: failed to build 'whoogle-git-0.5.0_r317.g75e7410-1':
error: packages failed to build: whoogle-git-0.5.0_r317.g75e7410-1

Installing https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/whoogle/ works however.
