As written, I had xdg-utils-handlr from the AUR (it was linked in Wiki).

However, I now uninstalled it and added the overwrite to ~/.local/bin as written by the maintainer.

So, nothing you should fix.

extra/xdg-utils 1.2.1-1 [installed] usr/bin/xdg-icon-resource

That binary should be there. Try reinstalling extra/xdg-utils.

I'm getting this error on install:

/tmp/alpm_C3eOyo/.INSTALL: line 3: xdg-icon-resource: command not found
error: command failed to execute correctly

Not sure, if that's a general error which I've never seen before. I have xdg-utils-handlr installed which provides xdg-utils but not the above binary.

However, the icon seems to be recognized by Gnome Wayland.

It works for me under KDE/Plasma.Wayland. I don't have $QT_QPA_PLATFORM setup, though.

eworm commented on 2024-09-26 09:20 (UTC)

Does Winbox on wayland work as well when started with just QT_QPA_PLATFORM=, effectively just setting an empty variable?

eworm commented on 2024-09-26 08:36 (UTC)

Wondering if setting that environment variable can cause problems in other situations...

Janhouse commented on 2024-09-19 06:57 (UTC)

Indeed, setting QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb makes it work on Wayland. Could this be added to the desktop file?

I guess you need to allow the neighbor discovery packets in your firewall? Try with destination address 255.255.255.255 and destination port udp/5678...

keithy commented on 2024-09-13 18:09 (UTC)

Hmm, doesn't show any neighbours for me. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong??

eworm commented on 2024-09-13 11:27 (UTC)

Ah, well... Qt ist linked statically, so after all there was little change that this works. 🙃

Can you try to start it with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb?
