It is completely separate from other Wine packages because it installs to /opt/wine-osu instead of /usr, so you can have multiple Wine versions installed at once, so you can use this one especially for the game it was designed for.

Please don't flag this package as outdated, as there is currently no stable patch for winepulse.drv for Wine Staging >= 3.13 yet. I'm working on it, but osu! works fine in 3.12 anyway.

if you encounter 'hInstance' errors while building wine, add the -fcommon option in cflag.

yep, I was able to build it by repeatedly makepkg -sei. my CPU clearly have some problem.

This sounds like gcc crashed while compiling Wine, yes. It builds fine here on an up-to-date system. Maybe your system can't sustain high load (try disabling overclocking if you overclocked your CPU)?

../../../wine-osu/dlls/strmbase/dllfunc.c:106:16: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault

is this a gcc bug?

I assume you're using the prebuilt package from my repo, which is compiled with instructions your system doesn't support. Please compile it from this AUR package.

When using this together with WineTricks I get a segfault:

llegal instruction (core dumped)
