https://github.com/rcaelers/workrave/tree/main

Maybe upload workrave-git which build from main branch

provides=(workrave) is missing from the pkgbuild

@richd Problem solved, I unflagged the package back to being up to date.

Details:

I asked Rob Caelers, the developer, why there are some commits in the stable branch that are not merged into next, and he eventually merged them. Also a bug in the build process was fixed along the way.

See the issues:

https://github.com/rcaelers/workrave/issues/143 https://github.com/rcaelers/workrave/issues/144

I still get a segmentation fault, but at least it builds smoothly now.

Hi @kindaro - I'm not the maintainer of Workrave itself and I don't use this package any more. Can you explain what I can do from an Arch packaging perspective?

It works now, thanks for fixing it so quickly.

@mar04 Thanks for your comment. This is rcaelers's bleeding-edge git branch so I've noticed occasionally bad stuff gets committed to it. Right now there's a syntax error in the DBUS code but that didn't affect me as I didn't have python-jinja installed. I've added a flag to force DBUS to be compiled out and it builds OK for me now even with python-jinja installed. Hopefully try again and it will work! The dependency on gtk2 is an odd one. It seems to depend right now on both gtk3 and gtk2. Perhaps this will be ironed out by rcaelers as it gets closer to a stable version.

It's missing intltool in makedeps, and gtk2 should be gtk3 probably, but even with that fixed it fails to build for me - at 57% I get some errors while compiling some dbus related file.
