The checksums are OK, check your downloaded files, probably a partial download.
md5check fails on archives as of 11th of October '16.

To the packager: please, consider updating the md5sums.
If you're using an AUR helper like Yaourt, it creates the package in /tmp. This is wrong.

Happy shooting then :)
cower, interesting. I'll have to look into that. Thanks! Again I'm sorry for all this misunderstanding. I definitely was confused on 'package source' for a min there. Now it's all making sense :)
Ah and makepkg will grab the game sources for you. By source I meant the package source. Two different things.
Use cower which does the ugly handwork for you.
I apologize for the confusion. Downloading the sources manually worked, although it was nice when makepkg grabbed them for me. I'll do it manually from now on for best results.
Downloading only the PKGBUILD is wrong, you should always download the whole source https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/wo/worldofpadman/worldofpadman.tar.gz and uncompress it. Then you can makepkg.
So it is as well with this package :)
Reading now. Thanks. Sorry, I wasn't trying to sound freaked out, its just that I successfully built a couple packages already, suddenly this one is giving me that error. I naturally assumed it was a problem on your end. Because the only thing I needed with the other packages with the PKGBUILD file. Everything else was downloaded automatically during makepkg.
I give up, sorry. Calm down, I was trying to help. You should read this thoroughly: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR#Acquire_build_files
So I have to download the sources manually with this PKGBUILD? I didn't have to with the other packages. And why is the desktop file listed separately in the sources if its part of the source tarball? And am I supposed to have a source repo for AUR that includes these files? How come I can build komodo-edit without downloading any sources, but padman fails?
The desktop file is part of the AUR source tarball I just rechecked it. Maybe you should download it again.
What do they have to do with the desktop file clearly inaccessible on this page? You need to add the file correctly or nobody can even download it manually.
Well, I don't know about manjaro, best ask on their forum.
Yep. Me too. 64bit. Its not grabbing the desktop file like its supposed to. At least in Manjaro 0.8.7. Or is this on incomplete and I have to download sourcesanually?
That should say manually...
Looking at the sources list on this page, the desktop file is blacked out and unclickable. I don't think its available. You must be running against files you already have

Sorry, I don't get this error, just tried it. I'm on 64 bit, maybe that counts?
I get this error when I run makepkg on this PKGBUILD
==> ERROR: worldofpadman.desktop was not found in the build directory and is not a URL.
dedopalomera, thanks for pointing that out. Fixed.
dedopalomera, thanks for pointing that out. Will fix it soon.
Must replace "Exec=worldofpadman" for "Exec=wop" in desktop file

If someone had an icon to follow that up with, it might have better luck getting resolved.
No, just file an upstream bug report and they will handle it.
I don't have ownership or provenance of that icon, someone else would need to work with upstream on that.
Freedesktop specification calls for PNG, XPM, or SVG format. If they could get something like that in XTRAS, it would be great.

Try to get the icon to be included upstream, please.
- Took over package
- This is basically hamelg's PKGBUILD
- No .desktop file, because the targeted wop.png is not a part of the source distribution
- Tested on x86_64
Somebody take over maintenance for this package, please.
@hamelg thank You for Your awesome work! It'll be uploaded soon.
Here is the PKGBUILD for the 1.5.1 :
http://aur.pastebin.com/1VnF2uAB
please sirmacik, could you upgrade it ?
There's been an update to 1.5.1, too:
http://padworld.myexp.de/index.php?news
I found the source code here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/wop-engine/files/v1.5/
So far there is available only binary version and there is also written in readme that "The source code will be released under the GPL!". So I'll wait about a week for them. If they won't appear I'll make package from the binaries.
There's 1.5 out now: http://padworld.myexp.de/index.php?news&update_id=255
