This is a separate version of wowup app, as explained here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/next-thing-74232257. This is not in conflict with classic wowup (which supports wago), so you can actually use both

Please add fuse2 as a dependency. AppImages cannot run without it.

It's working for me now, too, after that fix. Thanks!

I'm really curious why adding the debug option fixes the issue?

grimli commented on 2024-04-18 19:05 (UTC)

I see I'm a little late to respond, but you already modified line 15. Works fine now, cheers!

I've managed to reproduce this error in a docker image. Can you please try to build from PKGBUILD manually, but this time replace the 15 line with options=(!strip !debug)?

removed, deleted the contents of ~/.cache/paru/, reinstalled (using paru), same issue. removed it, installed it manually using makepkg, same issue.

I'm using the .AppImage file directly like tonydero mentioned without issue.

Could not reproduce your issue, unfortunately. Maybe it's silly, but have you tried reinstalling the package and cleaning the cache before installation?

I'm also running into the same issue as grimli. I think it must be somewhere in the installation stage, because the ~/.cache/paru/clone/wowup-cf-bin/WoWUp-CF-2.11.1.AppImage runs fine.

Manually cloning and running makepkg -si resulted in the same issue, just to add another point of info.

Was using the old version (2.10.0) before update just fine. Since update to 2.11.1-1, refuses to launch.

Output when running wowup-cf in terminal:

$ wowup-cf
This doesn't look like a squashfs image.

Cannot mount AppImage, please check your FUSE setup.
You might still be able to extract the contents of this AppImage
if you run it with the --appimage-extract option.
See https://github.com/AppImage/AppImageKit/wiki/FUSE
for more information
open dir error: No such file or directory

Was able to run a copy from wowup's website just fine, I'm assuming there is an error in the AUR script, either for permissions, location, version... or... not sure - I don't know what I'm looking at/for to guide you further, sorry.

Package updated and confirmed to be working.

Until https://github.com/WowUp/WowUp.CF/issues/63 is fixed, I'm not going to update it to the next version.
