To fix the harfbuzz mismatch error, you need to download the old pango's libs(1.43) and put them into writefull's directory. Specifically, create /opt/writefull/lib, then put old pango's lib files into it.

Doesn't seem to work anymore. A harfbuzz mismatch seems to be the issue.

Icon must be installed on '/usr/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps' not on '/usr/share/pixmaps'. This is the path defined by Freedesktop specifications and used by DEs (Gnome, KDE, etc.). It is the fallback icon theme by default. You should not use the full path on '.desktop' just 'Icon=writefull' to avoid hardcoding the icon.

Thanks for the quick fix!

Icon replaced with png file.

chuckdaniels commented on 2017-05-26 07:33

Please, do not hardcode icon on '.desktop' file, this breaks the themes. I am aware that the icon is in '.ico' format but you can use imagemagick to convert it to supported PNG on the PKGBUILD script:

convert Writefull.ico Writefull.png

This generates several PNG files with different sizes. 'Writefull-0.png' is the larger one (256x256). You can simply install this file renaming it to 'writefull.png' and use 'Icon=writefull' on the '.desktop' file.
