Please add --exclude nightly-build to the pkgver() function otherwise it generates something like nightly.build.r0.g0c4503b-1.

PKGBUILD critique:

  • This is not an 'any' package as it contains an ELF file (the binary).
  • Tags are available, the pkgver should use them
  • A Makefile should not be uploaded here. It's not used, anyway.
  • Don't use -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release, see CMake undesired behaviors
  • Use the Makefile to install as there is also a desktop file and icons.
  • The MIT license is not a common one already installed, so it should also be installed.
