It seems as if Behringer does not provide binaries for 32 bit architectures starting with version 4.0. If you need the "old" 32bit binary, you can still checkout this repo using git on the refspec [39e3a26](https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=x32edit&id=39e3a26) and build yourself.

So far so good with version 4.3-1. Awesome, the window decorations in KDE Plasma and the generic icon in the taskbar are fixed! I can also move the app around the screen now. Very nice update! :-)

With 4.3, Behringer changed quite a lot w.r.t. the used shared libraries. If you have any issues there, please provide me with the missing libraries (e.g. by using ldd /usr/bin/x32-edit and searching for unresolved libs) and I will (re-)add them to the dependencies.

Hi, the Download link is broken and the Software is now at 4.2.

The new link on is: https://mediadl.musictribe.com/download/software/behringer/X32/X32-Edit_LINUX_4.2.tar.gz with sha512 eef82645dae9dda7062ff645de3a1c1090e8e27516beeb95494d7fe4ee545a9ff7534fec8cc2ac64ab67091b20dfaa3818f2c15656e16454180777f6e204c061

Please fix this

For those who are using Plasma, is there a fix for window decorations? Having the same issue reported here in 2018, no window decoration and a generic icon in the taskbar.

Thanks

@stereohead: Done, thanks. It seems as if they changed their policy regarding the EULA to an "Accept before download"-mechanism. Pity on them.

stereohead commented on 2019-07-03 13:38 (UTC)

The download of EULA_2012-09-12.pdf is not working, maybe skip downloading and installing that file because nobody is reading it anyway :)

I think a Sans font such as ttf-liberation is actually required to be able to see anything regarding letters in this application.

While I guess it would try to pick up other Sans fonts, too, this is what I could see running it in strace.

Therefore it would be great if you would add it to depends.

This behaves badly with plasma 5. It gives me no window decorations and the icon on latte-dock is a generic X icon. Also there is another .desktop file in ~/.local/share/applications that seems redundant. Not sure why it's created there as the /usr/share/applications location seems to be enough.

@pheeral Yeah, the hicolor-icon-theme dependency should have been there. The reason behind it is that the icon is copied into the hicolor-icon-theme directory, which is only ever created by that package.
