I expected some shenanigans, given the nature of proprietary software on the AUR. But this was really nice, non-intrusive, just a binary, an icon, .desktop file. Such a breath of fresh air, amazing

It seems that behringer and it's parent companies sites are currently being overhauled. The upstream URL now resolves to a 404 and they do not have a page show casing the X Air edit software. I will probably change upstream URL just to behringers site.
As well as the download URLs may change in the future. On their new site the downloads are on a
empowertribe.comdomain. ThisPKBGUILDdownloads from amediavalet.comdomain which is still up. I will change it in the future once the downloads from mediavalet are unavailable.@oliverlm no problem! Thank you for passing it to me!

xaireditwill be merged into this package in one months time.olivierlm commented on 2026-03-28 11:46 (UTC)
@Sokoloft Go ahead and re-upload :) Feel free to keep yourself as maintainer since you've been doing most of the heavy lifting on improvements lately

Okay. Update pushed as
pkgrel=3. I just realized @olivierlm and @redtide are two different people.I don't think I have @olivierlm listed as a maintainer in the PKGBUILD. However that can be changed later.I just pushed PKGBUILD with better comments.@olivierlm would you like me to re-upload this package as
xairedit-binor will you? It would be a better name for the package imo. Though a bit pedantic. If you don't want to, I can. I'll file a merge request after a months time. It'll close this repo and transfer comments/other AUR data to the new package name. If I upload, it'll mark me as the maintainer I think, however I can add you both back as co-maintainers if that is the case. Also @joelsolo99, does your issue persist? If so, try deleting the contents in
~/.config/.X-AIR-Edit. That'll delete any cached settings. Maybe make a backup if you think you need it.Sokoloft commented on 2026-03-25 12:43 (UTC)
@joelsolo99 No odd. I've only pushed updates to a github fork currently.

I'm just getting a black screen when I open this (it worked up until a couple of days ago). I can't see any updates, has anything changed?

Hi @olivierlm,
Thank you.
Are you fine with me removing the b2sums check in favor of just the sha512sums? As well as there is no need for any of the dependencies unless I'm misunderstanding something.
As for renaming the package. I can do these changes on this package. Then when you're ready. You can fork this package and submit it to the AUR as the new package name. Pin a message in comments saying this package will change to the new package name
xairedit-binin a months time. Then file a merge request after the months time and a AUR mod will merge it to the new package name.Do you have discord/irc/steam? Will be easier to communicate that way. I'm Sokoloft on everything.
Will push a the changes I mentioned to my github repo soon.
