You know this is a stupid way to build a package?

ijann commented on 2016-07-08 20:06

solution

https://sourceforge.net/projects/xampp/files/XAMPP%20Linux/

sudo chmod +x xampp-linux-x64-5.6.23-0-installer.run

sudo ./xampp-linux-x64-5.6.23-0-installer.run

v5.6.23 ;)

MarcinWieczorek commented on 2016-06-20 09:49

I'm getting the same, you're nothing special. Find me a solution :/

harabara commented on 2016-06-20 09:48

Getting same as kalsan:

==> Starting package()...
==> Extracting package to a chroot...
PROT_EXEC|PROT_WRITE failed.
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package().
Aborting...

kalsan commented on 2016-06-17 07:53

Checksums now working! However we're just one step further: The build process fails:

==> Beginne package()...
==> Extracting package to a chroot...
PROT_EXEC|PROT_WRITE failed.
==> FEHLER: Ein Fehler geschah in package().

(the latter means: ERROR: An error occured in package() )

@MarcinWieczorek

here we are!

my md5sum for xampp-linux-x64-5.6.21-0-installer.run: "86826f25c52d9960d329b0c087c7327f"

but you could find ALL the md5s that you need, for every version, here:
https://www.apachefriends.org/pl/download.html

MarcinWieczorek commented on 2016-06-16 16:56

@jollanza send me your checksums of those .run files

jollanza commented on 2016-06-16 15:39

download this:

https://www.apachefriends.org/xampp-files/5.6.21/xampp-linux-x64-5.6.21-0-installer.run

chmod +x xampp-linux-x64-5.6.21-0-installer.run && sudo ./xampp-linux-x64-5.6.21-0-installer.run

...it works.
I know, this is NOT a solution for our package, but if you need to install urgently the xampp package this is (IMHO) the fastest and "bug-free" way.

MarcinWieczorek commented on 2016-06-12 13:50

If someone haves an idea how to fix this please contribute.
Also guys, could you please post valid checksums you get?

berserkingyadis commented on 2016-06-12 13:47

Got the checksum error too.

==> Validating source files with md5sums...
lampp.service ... Passed
xampp-manager.desktop ... Passed
xampp-manager.png ... Passed
==> Validating source_x86_64 files with md5sums...
xampp-installer ... FAILED
org.freedesktop.xampp-manager-x64.policy ... Passed
xampp-manager-x64_polkit ... Passed
==> ERROR: One or more files did not pass the validity check!
==> ERROR: Makepkg was unable to build .

kalsan commented on 2016-06-10 14:02

Same thing here. Checksums won't fit.

wanderstudent commented on 2016-06-08 07:35

I've got the same problem and for me manually downloading doesn't work either. (Same problem with checksums)

MarcinWieczorek commented on 2016-06-04 13:13

I've got no idea what causes your errors.
I regenerated the checksums and they were correct.
Will look into this later.
Thanks for reporting the issue!

Daedalus24 commented on 2016-06-04 06:54

Got it, had to download and manually launch the package! It doesn't install from AUR. Maybe we will be able to solve the problem.

All the best,
Bogdan

Daedalus24 commented on 2016-06-03 21:39

A checksum problem that may be bypassed using yaourt --m-arg "skipchecksums"

Validating source_x86_64 files with md5sums...
xampp-installer ... FAILED

I am getting this error:

-> Found org.freedesktop.xampp-manager-x64.policy
-> Found xampp-manager-x64_polkit
==> WARNING: Skipping verification of source file checksums.
==> Extracting sources...
==> Entering fakeroot environment...

PROT_EXEC|PROT_WRITE failed.
==> ERROR: A failure occurred in package().
Aborting...

I won't be maintaining this package as I don't use it anymore.

Thanks for reporting, I thought I had fixed this before.
Now htdocs are copied to /opt/lampp/htdocs_backup before upgrade. Not sure if I should restore it to /opt/lampp/htdocs automatically.

tomaszgasior commented on 2016-03-29 12:30

I encountered problem, when I updated XAMPP package. During update, pacman overwrite config and data files in /opt/lampp directory, such as httpd.conf (Apache config) or var/mysql (databases data).

Can you solve this problem in package scripts during update? (Sorry for my English mistakes.)

The_Loko commented on 2016-02-23 23:28

That's because xampp installer tries to create "mysql" user but it fails when it does it on PKGBUILD.
It will work fine if you create the "mysql" user before running it, I don't know how to fix it as it needs to be created before installing.
I will update as soon I find a solution.

Got a problem while installing:

Error: Error running useradd -r mysql : useradd: PAM: Authentication service

Error: mysql: Error while executing group action

Temporary workaround is run 'sudo useradd -r mysql' before install.
