It does build here I have to say. I will look into the issue and try to figure out building in a "virgin" VM - will report back as soon as I know more

This build fails as is, the sed -i -e s:doc/xastir:xastir/doc: Makefile line seems to break the build.

Hmm, unfortunately I cannot repeat you error - meaning it builds fine here. Anyway I'm updating the package to the current/new AUR standards and will post it here within the next days or so. Hopefully this will then build on your end too.

I did some research into this and think that is not possible in a PKGBUILD. Reading about the history of motif/openmotif and lestif respectively I think I could switch to openmotif with the next update. Any input about this idea?

2.0.4 works for me, with openmotif. Also, is there a way to require one of lesstif or openmotif, instead of requiring lesstif? This might be a PKGBUILD limitation, but I'm not sure.
