I had same problem, but found workaround.
Place export LDFLAGS="-lX11 -lXext" line before call to autogen.sh in PKGBUILD.

Can't compile this...

usr/bin/ld: console/v4l-conf.o: undefined reference to symbol 'XGetWindowAttributes'
