i currently disowned the package due to motherboard damage on that laptop - the package is looking for the new maintainer

@dreieck i don't have that device accessible for the next couple of months, would you like to became a co-maintainer of this package?

i think the correct path should be "/etc/modules-load.d/"

This package installs the file /etc/modprobe.d/eGTouchD.conf which contains bad content.

It contains

hid-multitouch

but files in /etc/modprobe.d/ contain options for modules or blacklisting etc., e.g.

options <module> <options>

or

blacklist <module>

and more, see man 5 modprobe.d.

Where you meaning to auto-load the module hid-multitouch on bootup?
Then you need to add it somewhere else, depending on the init system.

For OpenRC (not used by default with Arch Linux!) it is for example /etc/conf.d/modules.

Your /etc/modprobe.d/eGTouchD.conf leads to errors like

libkmod: kmod_config_parse: /etc/modprobe.d/eGTouchD.conf line 1: ignoring bad line starting with 'hid-multitouch'

Thanks for maintaining!
