Disowning in favour of xf86-input-joystick-git.

  • The driver has been updated to version 1.6.4.
  • The package now does not install a X.Org configuration file by default anymore, thus leaving enabling it to the user (to not automatically interfere).
  • The driver supports mapping a joystick button to toggle activation and deactivation of sending mouse and keyboard events by the joystick.

hen this moved to AUR in 2017 this driver was the best option to configure joysticks .

Evdev now supports a lot more then in 2016[1] and I haven't needed this driver in 2+ years.

I'm disowning it now.

updated makedepends

It's not out of date as 1.6.3 is still the current release. You are correct it doesn't build anymore though.

I probably know what needs to be adjusted, will look into it soon.

"esourceproto" and "scrnsaverproto" don't exist.

Plexcon, I don't understand spanish but translation suggests plugging in the joystick causes the mouse cursor to jump erratically. Try adding these lines to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-joystick.conf : Option "StartKeysEnabled" "False" Option "StartMouseEnabled" "False"

Da muchos problemas: Me desconfiguraba el joystick y tomaba el mando sobre el ratón. La flecha se subía arriba del todo de la pantalla : (

Glad to see you check things. TL;DR : i checked the key and found it trustworthy for this package. gpg --recv-key is the correct approach as it just downloads the key. I checked the key, found it belonged to peter hutterer and he is indeed an X.org developer. In the pkgbuild i added his key as a trusted key for this pacakge only by using validgpgkeys. If you imported the key, then commented out the validgpgkeys part in pkgbuild and try to build, makepkg will abort with : ==> Verifying source file signatures with gpg... xf86-input-joystick-1.6.3.tar.bz2 ... FAILED (the public key 3C2C43D9447D5938EF4551EBE23B7E70B467F0BF is not trusted) .
