Sorry for forgetting this issue. What is the current status with it?
Looking at the source code, there are two places, where this error is printed. Line 70 in and line 36 in
As far as I currently unterstand, it bails, when there is no information regarding a font saved in regarding struct
Line 71: font_ = X11::Inst().LoadQueryFont("*-fixed-*"); It looks for a fixed font. Do you have installed any?

Yeah it happens in all the terminals I have.

Is XFCE still using X or nowadays wayland? As they progressed in switching to GTK3 I'm not sure what it is the case

Edit: xfwm is still X based, so not the issue here. Does this happen with other terminals too?

I'm on XFCE, and I started it by running xgalaga++ in Guake terminal.

Hmm.. What setup are you running? Like DE/WM. Starting from tty or whatever? Because xgalaga++ works fine for me.

I saw you made a dep commit - the same error occurs.

Thanks for the intel makeworld. Will take a look at this. Maybe there is a dep missing and due to some reworking of the xorg packages this now appears.

Window flashes then closes immediately. In terminal a single line is seen: X font error.

New version and modified the patch (Package creation would fail, because it tried to cp the bin to /usr and not $pkgdir/usr)
