Please just install the xkb-switch binary into /usr/bin/ and ditch the /usr/local/bin/ directory. That's the official Arch way ;) Thanks.

Can it be put back in /usr/bin/?

Couple of versions ago it was there but than it was moved to /usr/local/bin/
