I also get the first warning "No type converter...", this is buried inside the XtAppInitialize function and doesn't appear to cause any harm.

After research, It seems that the xorg-fonts-misc (which you installed) might be necessary. I will list this package as a dependency.

I am wondering if you have to restart so that it recognizes the fonts. Do you have any interesting information in your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file? Mine explicitly states that it is adding /usr/share/fonts/misc to the FontPath, and so I wonder if having added the package wasn't sufficient for X11 to find the path, that an Xorg restart may also be required.

I'm getting the following error

Warning: No type converter registered for 'String' to 'Pixmap' conversion. Warning: Unable to load any usable ISO8859 font Error: Aborting: no font found

<hr>

I installed xorg-fonts-misc but that didn't solve it. Do you have any suggestions?

Malformed PKGBUILD: https://www.archlinux.org/pacman/PKGBUILD.5.html "As a minimum, the PKGBUILD must contain a package() function which installs all the package’s files into the packaging directory"
