@fuan_k QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME doesn't work if I set it to qt5ct, even though it is installed. However I've noticed that the gtk2 platform theme is shipped with XnView, and since I have QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=gtk2 in my profile.d I hadn't noticed it was solving the font issue! I have added it to xnview.sh, please have a shot and tell me if it works for you too. Removing qt.conf always leads to a segfault for me, so this is a no-go (in fact even an empty qt.conf is enough to prevent the segfault...).
