xone maintainer here. We lately had even more people creating issues on github and contacting us for help on discord with inoperable dongles. I've seen the same issues on CachyOS and other forums. Sometimes it took a long time to extract the fact they don't have the firmware package installed alongside the driver.

This creates unneeded noise for us. Please, change the xone-dongle-firmare to be a required, not optional, dependency. All the files included amount to a whopping 160 KiB of storage. It's peanuts

Possibly unrelated to the package, as it does get my dongle / controller recognized, but I'm having trouble with boot times when the dongle is plugged in, it hangs for a minute before timeout. I tried bundling the module in my initramfs to no avail. I am new to dailying linux, so excuse my incompetence.

Update 2025-09-25. Just add a drop-in config to your mkinitcpio.conf.d like

MODULES+=(xone_dongle)
FILES+=(/usr/lib/firmware/xow_dongle.bin)

Update 2025-10-08. It no longer seems to work and my bootup is long again

dlundqvist fork finally added a new tag. Package can be switched now when Linux 6.15 drops this sunday.

At present, the SHA256 sum of 0001-PR53-fix-for-linux-6.12.patch included in this package is incorrect, resulting in installation failure.

If you're on the latest kernel of Arch Linux, it is currently recommended by the Discord Server to use xone-dlundqvist-dkms-git instead of xone-dkms or xone-dkms-git

Sorry to bother you. Can you add the patch that supports kernel 6.11.x (https://github.com/medusalix/xone/pull/48)? This patch is already tested by somes. There is a 6.12.x already (https://github.com/medusalix/xone/pull/53, I have not tested yet). Thank you.

The xone author is MISS from 1 May. :-(
