omg, it was an issue with paru

Since the SRCINFO was still referring to the original repo, it was pulling from that one instead of the new one. Only now that you changed it, it started complaining.

I removed paru's cache and it works. Sorry for the false alarm!

Ah yes, thanks for the reminder on .SRCINFO. I forgot that file existed since it's a dot file...

Re: Not working in newer kernels, it built just fine for me in 6.19.7, and it works fine with my controllers as well. Do you have some makepkg.conf settings to enable more warnings or something?

k8ie commented on 2026-03-12 12:36 (UTC)

Also the package doesn't seem to work on newer kernels. Worked on 6.12, doesn't work on 6.18+

See https://github.com/dlundqvist/xone/issues/174

Can you update the srcinfo? It still shows https://github.com/medusalix/xpad-noone as the upstream.

Sorry for the delay. I've been meaning to switch the upstream since October, but every time I've both remembered and had time for it, AUR has been having issues. Even now the "View PKGBUILD" and "View Changes" links on this package page were giving me server errors for a few minutes.

But I have finally managed to change the upstream to forkymcforkface's fork.

https://github.com/forkymcforkface/xpad-noone owner here I will create a new package

Upstream is not maintained and broken with latest kernels. Can you update the PKGBUILD to use the new repo ?

I also think the package should be changed to the new fork since it is in active development, everyone has agreed on it being the recommended version now, and the original repository shows no signs of coming back to life.

xone maintainer here. Yes, this last one is what we now recommend and it has been set up with a scheduled github action that automatically rebases it on the xpad master. Automatically maintained!
