So folks there again: Changed the program according to the upstream changes of the provided binary Linux package, more dependencies added; a new GUI launching desktop icon created. Enjoy !

You are installing a prebuild binary, and not building from source. So, consider adding -bin to the $pkgname, or build from source.

Also, consider striping the ELF files.
