@queer I'm sorry but it seems that there is much more than that. I was about updating the package replacing
xxd-standalone
withvim
, but I got other build errors. The package requires now a different build method that I have no idea how to integrate in AUR, so I see no much alternative than drop this package.queer commented on 2023-12-28 16:17 (UTC)
Trying to install this leaves me with a
xxd-standalone and vim are in conflict (xxd). Remove vim? [y/N]
. I haven't looked at the internals, but vim seems to have provided/usr/bin/xxd
, so if that's why this package needsxxd-standalone
, I think settingvim
as an alternative dependency/provider would be good, as I'm not alone in not wanting to remove vim from my system :3
