@Basher52 This package is currently not usable in Arch Linux unless someone is willing to downgrade gsl to 2.5.
Trying to link gls 2.7 libraries to the 2.5 xsnow-bin expects doesn't work.
Compiling xsnow from scratch works for me.

zomgugoff is correct, tried this again and I get the same error. It can't find libgsl.so.25 Also tried 'xsnow' (not the bin) it compiles and all but same error when running it.

'gsl-config --version' says 2.7.1

Didn't try the linking of libgsl.so.27 to libgsl.so.25 tho

Xsnow is unable to run due to libGSL version: xsnow: error while loading shared libraries: libgsl.so.25: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Current gsl package is 2.7.1-1 and linking libgsl.so.27 to libgsl.so.25 results in: xsnow: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/libgsl.so.25: undefined symbol: cblas_ctrmv

I have same problem - Cannot create transparent window - and nothing displayed - under Xfce.

Using xsnow-wv I have the same problems as before :( Maybe it may be because I'm using latte dock

I am unable to reproduce your issues, however I managed to find some time to create a PKGBUILD that actually builds from sources and got it accepted as the xsnow package.
You could try that and see if your errors persist.

and this is the output of ldd /usr/bin/xsnow: linux-vdso.so.1 (0x00007ffe7534f000) So it looks like somth is missing.I checked but did not find a solution.

I think it was a bug with 3.4.1, tonight I have updated to 3.4.2 and it started working again (Arch Linux with KDE Plasma)
